Resilient Georgia General Meeting (10/28/21)

Taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our physical health. Fortunately many athletes have elevated this conversation. Please join us for an intimate discussion about mental wellness, resilience and perseverance with local Track and Field world class athlete and recent Olympian Kenny Selmon.  Meeting will be virtual.

After injury halted Selmon's dreams in 2019, and the Covid-19 pandemic delayed them even further in 2020, Selmon remained focused on his goal to qualify for the 2020 Olympics Games (2021). In June, after three grueling rounds and a personal best in the final, he qualified for the 2021 U.S. Olympic team in the 400m hurdles. The former UNC track star traveled to the Tokyo Olympics last month. Kenny Selmon’s inspiring story resonates because he overcame tremendous obstacles and adverse experiences during his rise to competing as an Olympic athlete. His story exemplifies the power of resilience and perseverance.  Click Here for the Event Flyer
